The Power of the Plus

Coexistence is Beauty.  Interdependence is Strength. Change is Constant.

I don't mind sounding corny sometimes.  I am here with you on the internet, and I do not take that for granted.  I am amazed to listen to people like Martin Shervington, Mark Traphagen, Eric Enge, and David Amerland.  I learn and laugh with LaShanda Henry.  I slog through SEO with David.  It's like something on TV for me to be able to sit here in my humble abode in Henderson, North Carolina and carry on a discourse with people from all over the world as I "Stake My Claim on the Global Domain!" My trip across the digital divide is sometimes a tightrope.  Don't be complacent, is all I am saying.
Today I met Keith Caldwell, who is out to meet thirty new people on the Plus because Martin set out a challenge. It did not take him long to discover The Power of the Plus.  He has an autistic child.  So do I.  I can assure Keith he will make it.  I've got more tips and tricks than Shervy when it comes to sorting out an autistic kid's needs and wants.
Jordan C. Quinitchette
It's not an easy road raising an autistic person to adulthood.  Nor do the worries stop there.  Someone gave us an original Batman poster back in the 80's, when Jordan was small.  He was terrified of it.  It took a while to figure it out, but we did.  He doesn't like dogs or heavy metal music, but he can tolerate them if he has to.  Will speak in full sentences if sorely pressed.  He seems happy and well-adjusted with his life, but I still worry.

The best thing so far about G+ is the level of discourse and discussion.  As it becomes daily a more powerful, integrated platform for individualism, collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship, it has not lost a powerful personal touch.  You can laugh at my electronic epiphany, but please realize, Flash Gordon was once cutting edge to somebody too.  Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
